A local developer has purchased the Connie Bean Community Center property. Steven Wilson of Exeter bought the property at auction for $1.5 million. The three-story brick building sits on a .33-acre parcel downtown. Conditions placed on the sale of the former city recreation center require that the original 1916 building be preserved, but not the adjoining gymnasium.
