The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce is seeking new members. The business organization offers networking opportunities that give local business owners the chance to meet new customers and share their knowledge and expertise. Formed in January 2000 when the Reading Chamber of Commerce merged with the North Reading Business Association, the organization keeps its members apprised of issues at both the state and local levels and sponsors community events to foster pride and promote the businesses in both towns. Among the chamber’s many annual events: Outstanding Citizen of the Year awards dinner; holiday light festivals in each of the towns; a golf tournament; and Buy Local weekends. To download a membership application, visit www.readingnreadingchamber.org. The annual membership fee varies from $155 to $375, depending on the size of the business. For more information, contact the chamber at 781-664-5060.
