March 2012: Groundbreaking on AVA Somerville (studio, one- and two-bedroom units designed for urban professionals) and Avalon at Assembly Row (larger, more upscale studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units with gourmet kitchens and balconies). The mixed-use residential/retail buildings at 74 Foley St. will include more than 400 apartments.

November 2012: Opening of Burger Dive. The 45-seat burger and fries eatery at 702 Assembly Square Drive is the first storefront in a development by Federal Realty.
