Tides Restaurant and Pub reopens after fire


The iconic Tides Restaurant and Pub, known locally as The Tides, was on schedule to reopen last Saturday. The beachfront restaurant, which originally opened in 1964, closed following a Sept. 25 electrical fire. The reopening took longer than expected, the most recent delay caused when an outside drain in the parking lot collapsed. “It was just one of those things,” said owner Mike O’Callaghan, who added that the most recent setback was unrelated to the fire.
