The newly rehabbed Freudenberg Nonwovens building, part of the Hamilton Canal District, will be ready for tenants in February, with restoration work on the building completed by April. Trinity Financial, the Boston company overseeing the district’s development, is conducting an $8.5 million renovation on the building in the hope that a more attractive property might lure prospective businesses tenants. New paint now covers the formerly peeling exterior, filled-in windows have been restored, and the interior has been gutted and cleaned. The 55,000square feet of commercial office space is spread over five stories, with room for two tenants on each floor. The Hamilton Canal District neighborhood encompasses 15 acres of formerly vacant buildings.
