Residents can learn how to make older homes more energy-efficient while retaining a home’s historical character at a free program Beebe Library is offering Wednesday at 7 p.m. Sally Zimmerman, manager of historic preservation services at Historic New England, will talk about carrying out home energy improvements, such as installing insulation, repairing windows, and sealing air leaks, without compromising an older home’s historic architecture or fabric.
