She said she has enjoyed her six years as a selectwoman, but Anne Marie Stronach is not seeking reelection to a third term at the annual town election in April. Stronach said that due to the growing demands of her job as an administrator in the Lawrence public schools, she would not be able to put the time and effort required into her role as a selectwoman. “I can’t give it the same level of commitment I think is needed to get the job done,” she said. “I just felt it was unfair to residents to not be able to do the job to the best of my ability.” She said it was “a very difficult decision for me because I really enjoy working for the community. I feel I have been able to meet so many people I wouldn’t have been able to meet otherwise. I especially like being able to help community members cut through the red tape.” Stronach said she still intends to stay active in the community.
