The Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library will present an evening with William Sargent, a consultant for the “Nova” science series on PBS, on Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 7  to 8:30 p.m. in the library’s Community Room. Sargent has written eight books about science and the environment. The evening will feature a question-and-answer session, book signing, and books for sale.
