Town officials this month are providing two options for the recycling of Christmas trees. Residents may leave trees curbside on their regular trash collection day during the week of Jan. 14 to Jan. 18 or take trees to the compost area on Strout Avenue between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.on Jan. 19. Leaves and branches also will be accepted at the compost area during these hours. All decoration, including tinsel, must be removed. Trees in plastic bags or not completely cleared of all adornments will not be picked up or accepted at the compost area. Use of the compost center requires a 2013 community access sticker. For more information on the sticker, contact the Police Department at 781-944-1212.
