A community meeting on the future of Burnham’s Field is scheduled for Monday at the Hive, 11 Pleasant St. The city has secured about $300,000 in state and federal funding for improvements to the 6.7-acre playground, the largest green space in central Gloucester. At the meeting, landscape architects from Weston & Sampson will present their assessment of the conditions of the field and seek residents’ input for its future, according to senior project manager Stephen Winslow from the Gloucester Community Development Department. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. For more information, call Winslow at 978-282-8007 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
