LOCAL TALENT SHINES: Are you a rising star? You can find out by entering the fifth “North Shore Star” singing competition, co-hosted by the Beverly Rotary Club  and North Shore Music Theatre. 

The event is March 1. But talent is being prescreened through auditions 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 21 at North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly.
