Resignation creates opening on Planning Board

Malden Mayor Gary Christenson  is looking to appoint a new member to the Planning Board after chairman Timothy Glynn resigned, according to city officials. The appointee will serve the remainder of Glynn's five-year term, which ends in May, according to Christenson's office. The new member may be reappointed to another five-year  term at the discretion of the mayor. Glynn, who has served on the Planning Board since 1985, resigned earlier this month for health reasons, a city official said. Those interested in the position can contact Christenson's office at 397-7000. The application deadline is Jan. 17.
