State Senator Sal DiDomenico has a new opportunity to help promote manufacturing in Massachusetts. Senate President Therese Murray recently appointed the Everett Democrat to the Massachusetts Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative. Created by the administration of Governor Deval Patrick, the collaborative is a group of leaders from industry, academia, and government who support and promote the state's manufacturing agenda. In her appointment of DiDomenico, Murray cited his experience as cochairman of the legislature's Joint Committee for Community Development and Small Business and his involvement in his local business community. DiDomenico said in a statement that he was looking forward to working with the state’s top innovation leaders. “This is an opportunity for us to revitalize manufacturing as a leading industry, bringing much needed job creation to the state.’’
