Detectives from the city’s Street Narcotics Enforcement Unit seized several grams of heroin, cash, and an assault rifle during a recent investigation in Costello Park that also led to the arrest of four adults. Charges against Derlin Cedano of North Andover and Pedro J. Sanchez-Torres of Haverhill include possession of heroin with intent to distribute near a school or park and possession of a large-capacity firearm. Detectives found an assault-style rifle with a scope and a clip holding 10 bullets in a bag in Sanchez-Torres’s car. Also arrested were John King of Biddeford, Maine, and Amy Laverriere of Kennebunkport, Maine; the two had allegedly just completed a deal to buy 10 grams of heroin from Sanchez-Torres.
