A public hearing will be held this week on a proposed reorganization of the Fire Department. Fire Chief Michael Currier has proposed a change in the town’s administrative code to streamline his department. Under the plan, the duties of the town’s two assistant chiefs would be changed and the fire marshal would take on more responsibility in emergency management. Currier estimated that the changes would save about $15,000 . The hearing will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday in Town Hall.
