Melrose schools are starting registration for children starting kindergarten in the fall. An information session will be held in the auditorium of Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Principals from the city’s five elementary schools will be on hand to answer questions. Open house nights will be held, from 5 to 7 p.m., on Jan. 28 at the Hoover and Winthrop schools; Jan. 29 at the Lincoln and Roosevelt schools; and Jan. 30 at the Horace Mann School. Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to enroll in kindergarten.
