Mass Audubon is conducting its annual “Focus on Feeders” midwinter bird count on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 2-3. The survey enlists the aid of people of all ages and experience levels to list individual bird species and the greatest number of each seen at one time at their feeders or in their yards during that period. In 2012, nearly 100 species were reported in 292 communities statewide, with more than 850 observers participating. For more information, go to massaudubon.org/focus. Those who participate will have their name entered into a prize drawing.
