Many towns want to ‘just say no’

When it comes to medical marijuana, some communities north of Boston have adopted an old adage from the antidrug war: Just say no.

Bans on medical marijuana dispensaries have passed in Melrose, Peabody, Reading, Saugus, and Wakefield.

Medical marijuana eases pain and suffering. Period. It's benefits are real. ASK A CANCER PATIENT. But these towns have decided to let their residents suffer. Stunning. It's criminal. Morons!

Please, Kathy, write a follow up article down the line when the marihuana shops, dispensaries are up and running in neighboring communities.  Investigate how many of these "marihuana dry" city/towns have lawfully ill citizens are taking marihuana for medicinal purposes and they or their family members have to travel out of town to legally buy it.  Have any of these cities/towns outlawed Drugatores like CVS, Walgreen's or Rite-Aid for selling Oxycintin, Percoctet or other prescription painkillers.  I mean outlawing the Drugstores.  Also, in this debate, why aren't the OxyContin distributors like CVS, ETC., handling the selling of marijhuana, a pain reducer?  Why a monopoly of just shops?  Also look into just who is financially backing these shops as I don't think the "big boys" are going to look askance at any money making operation.  Wow!  I realize that all of my comments look like the opening of a Mission Impossible film.  You've got your assignment, Kathy, good luck.  This Commen Block, however, will not destroy itself in 10 seconds.
