Fund-raiser will help injured snowboarder

A fund-raiser has been scheduled to help a 17-year-old Tyngsborough High School junior who was seriously injured in a recent snowboarding accident. Jack Trottier was snowboarding at a friend’s house when, following a jump, he landed on his neck and shoulders. After surgery at Children’s Hospital in Boston,  Trottier remained paralyzed from the chest down. His family is bringing him to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, a top rehabilitation center, for six weeks of treatment. The Community Event for Jack Trottier runs from 7 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, March 2, at the Tyngsborough Sports Center. Tickets are $20 and are available by calling 978-376-1474. All proceeds will go to the Trottier family.
