Beebe Library is offering a series of free travel and nature programs featuring Bill Gette, sanctuary director of the Joppa Flats Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary in Newburyport. Gette will talk about his trips to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve and two excursions to Central America. The series kicks off Feb. 13 when Gette offers a presentation on “The New World Tropics of Central America,” including images of a variety of birds, reptiles, and other species that contribute to the region’s rich biodiversity. Other talks will be held Feb. 27 and March 27. All the presentations start at 7 p.m. in the library’s lecture hall. Those planning to attend may reserve seats online at www.wakefieldlibrary.org or call 781-246-6334, ext. 2. The series is sponsored by the Friends of Beebe Library.
