Board names new space after former selectman


The Lynnfield Board of Selectmen voted last week to name the indoor community space to be built as part of National Development’s Market Street at Lynnfield project after former selectman Al Merritt. The Al Merritt Media and Cultural Center will encompass 3,500 square feet that will possibly be used as a cable television studio or as a public meeting space.
