Bruce Brown , Wakefield: After being limited to just 2 minutes in the first half because of foul trouble, the sophomore guard got 18 of his 20 points in the second half in a 65-61 loss to undefeated Melrose.

Sean Doncaster, Medford: The senior guard led his team with 21 points, including the game-winner with 8 seconds left, as the Mustangs defeated Cambridge for the first time since 1999, qualifying for the state tourney.

Olivia Healey , Reading: The Richmond-bound senior racked up a scintillating triple-double (40 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 steals) as the Rockets remained unbeaten with a 74-34 Middlesex League win over Lexington.

Molly Hoopes , Haverhill: The 5-foot-11 senior center had a triple-double of 15 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 blocks in a 50-33 loss to Merrimack League foe Dracut.

North Andover senior forward Chris Bardwell returns to the Central gym for the first time since his transfer. In the first meeting this season, his team handed Central its first loss to an in-state program. Central may be minus senior captain Doug Gemmell, a 6-5 forward who has been sidelined with a concussion.
