Lahey acquires Essex VitreoRetinal Services


Lahey Hospital & Medical Center has acquired Essex VitreoRetinal Services Inc. The hospital will change the name of the company to Lahey Retinal Specialists, Beverly. The facility is on the campus of Beverly Hospital and provides diagnostics, digital imaging, and surgery for patients with vitreoretinal diseases. The new director of the facility will be Dr. Jeffery Marx, who is chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and chief medical officer at Lahey Medical Center, Peabody.
