Babies can take part in a friendly crawling competition and enjoy other activities Saturday when Burlington Mall hosts its second annual Diaper Derby from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature a race among crawlers up to 12 months of age, as well as a Tiny Tot Fashion show, a “Mommy and Me Lounge,” and vendor displays of products and services for families and children. The Diaper Derby will have six crawlers per heat and 12 races, with the heat winners competing for first, second, and third place. An award ceremony will follow in which the top three finishers are presented with trophies. All racers will receive a goody bag. The derby is free, but registration is required, and the competition is limited to the first 72 registered babies. To register, visit the guest services area in the center court on the first level of the mall from now until 8:45 a.m. on Saturday. All participating children must check in at the registration table in the center court at 9 a.m. Families not participating in the race are welcome to take part in the other activities and do not need to register.
