Town may seek override to upgrade technology

Obsolete desktop computers, an inadequate firewall, and outdated networking equipment are a few of the technological challenges Winchester is facing.

If Winchester collected old unused laptops from the residents of the town, they could get hundreds, and in Winchester, the old ones would probably be an average of 2 years old. These would work fine with cloud-based services that will greatly reduce if not eliminate the need for servers.
