Arts After Hours preps for kick off

Arts After Hours is preparing to kick off its 2013 year. The nonprofit group was formed three years ago to bring music, theater, and visual arts events to the downtown. The group’s kick-off project for this year, which is also the start of its 2013 theater season, is the staging of the musical comedy “Nunsense A-men. The show will follow the traditional script of “Nunsense,” but with an all-male cast. As it has done with past shows, Arts After Hours plans to seek community involvement in the production. “For this show, we’ll be incorporating local clergy into the opening of the production,” Corey Jackson, managing director of Arts After Hours, said in a statement. “It will be funny, respectful, and give the show a nice Lynner touch.” The play, directed by Kevin Cirone, will be performed from March 7-23 at the Rantoul Black Box Theater in the LynnArts building, 25 Exchange St. For show times, and ticket information, go to or call the box office at 781-205-4010.
