Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr. and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middlesex County will celebrate their 40th birthdays Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Anthony’s of Malden. The celebration will also serve as a fund-raiser for the Somerville-based Boys and Girls Clubs organization. The night will include a silent auction, a wine auction, and a performance by Boston-area comedian David Russo. Attendees will also have a chance to learn more about the Everett Clubhouse, the newest of the four clubhouses operated by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middlesex County — others are in Cambridge, Medford, and Somerville. Opened in 2009, the Everett Clubhouse, at 548 Broadway, provides programming for teens in areas ranging from music, art, and health to college preparation and job training.
