Voters to decide on high school parking expansion

Voters at the town election next month will be asked to approve the purchase of land for a parking lot for Milford High School. The 50-year-old school currently has little parking. Voters in March will be asked to approve $60,000 to buy land next to the school on West Street to create a parking lot for 85 cars. The purchase was on the ballot two years ago and was defeated, but the price of the land has come down considerably; in 2011 it was being sold for $110,000.
