The recently completed Swampscott Downtown Vision and Action Plan is available on the town website (town.swampscott.ma.us). Conducted by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, the study focused on the Burrill-Humphrey Street corridor, including the commuter rail station and Blaney Street. The report contains several recommendations focused on using coastal resources to create a downtown identity, creating a more vibrant downtown, supporting local businesses, and attracting people to the neighborhood, including creating better, safer access for transportation.
