A new gauge has been installed in Hampton Harbor that will provide real-time information on water conditions via the Internet. The device was installed by the Center for Coastal Environmental Sensing Networks at University of Massachusetts Boston on the Hampton Fire and Rescue pier. It measures water levels every six minutes and transmits the data to a remote computer. When the system is completed in the next few weeks, the information will be added to the real-time data portal at www.neracoos.org.
