Northern Essex Community College is seeking high school seniors for the college’s Bridge program, a two-week summer enrichment program for Latino students who plan to attend Northern Essex in the fall. The program is scheduled for Aug. 12 through Aug. 23. The free program is designed to help ease students’ transition to college and build a foundation for academic success. Participants will work on improving math and English-language skills and be introduced to the resources available at Northern Essex. To be eligible, students must be a 2013 Latino high school graduate with a grade-point average of at least 2.5, and they must be enrolled at Northern Essex for the fall. Applications for the Bridge program are being accepted at the NECC Student Success Center, 45 Franklin St., Lawrence. For more information on the program, contact Gisela Nash at email@example.com or 978 738-7413, or Niurka Aybar at firstname.lastname@example.org or 978 738-7451.
