Planning Board meets Monday on restaurant proposals

The Planning Board will conduct public hearings Monday on proposals to allow two new restaurants to open in office space downtown. Tooba’s, a breakfast/lunch eatery, wants to open with 16 seats in a former law office at 35-37 Essex St. Comella’s plans a 22-seat family-style Italian restaurant at 476A Main St., the rear portion of a bank building. The hearings are scheduled for 8 and 8:30 p.m. in the mayor’s conference room at City Hall.
