A public hearing on whether to require uniforms in the Malden public schools will be held by the School Committee on Wednesday. Some parents voiced opposition to the proposed uniform requirement during a hearing in January, but supporters have pointed to a survey conducted by the city that found most parents who responded were in favor of the proposal. The committee’s Uniform Exploratory Subcommittee will meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday, and the hearing will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Ferryway School.
