Plans for a new courthouse at the former State Police barracks on Meadowbrook Drive appear to have suffered a setback. State officials eventually relented and agreed to build a new court at the former barracks and provided $50,000 to conduct a feasibility study and preliminary design work. It was estimated that the new courthouse would cost $4 million, but when Governor Maggie Hassan presented her proposed budget for 2014-2015, it did not include funds for the project.
