Town election postponed to April 30

Selectmen recently changed the date of this year’s town election from April 23 to April 30. The move was made in order to have the election coincide with the primary for the special state election for US senator. Because of the change, the deadline for returning nomination papers has also shifted by a week, to March 27. Meanwhile, Beebe Library is inviting residents to a free presentation by Wakefield authors Alison Simcox and Doug Heath on their new book, “Breakheart Reservation,” in Arcadia’s “Images of America” series. The talk will be held Monday at 7 p.m. To reserve seats, go to www.wakefieldlibrary.org or call 781-246-6334, ext. 2.
