Wrestling Hall of Fame inducts local principal

Robert Fitzgerald Jr., principal of Lakeview Junior High School in Dracut, was recently inducted into the New England Wrestling Hall of Fame along with three other standouts from the region. During his years competing for Methuen in the Merrimack Valley Conference, Fitzgerald racked up 310 wins. He also captained the wrestling team at Boston College, where he was recognized as a Catholic University All-American, and was on the 1985 BC football team that won the Cotton Bowl. A coach since age 22, Fitzgerald took over leadership of Lakeview at the start of the 2011-2012 school year.
