Five contested races are on tap at the annual town election next Saturday. Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Among the races is a six-way contest for two Board of Selectmen seats, in which incumbent Todd Johnson is opposed by Mary Ellen Fernald, Robert T. Marcin, Richard E. Menard, Kenneth A. Miano, and James D. Wentworth. Three candidates are competing for two School Committee seats: incumbent Kristen M. Polimeno, Raymond A. Lisiecki, and Lisa J. Puccia. There are two Board of Health races. Three candidates are running for two regular three-year seats: incumbents Phillip French and Christine Kinnon, and James M. Killion. There is also a two-way race between Raymond Barry and Joseph F. Knight III to fill the remaining two years on a vacant seat. Patricia Meuse, a member of the Shawsheen Regional Technical School Committee, faces a challenge from Richard O’Neill Jr. Four other candidates are running unopposed.
