Health fair for elderly offers information

The Council on Aging is holding its annual Health Fair on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Connolly Center, 90 Chelsea St. More than 50 health organizations, agencies, and businesses, including the Everett Health Department, the Federal Drug Administration, the Scleroderma Foundation, and the YMCA, will be represented to provide information on elder health care topics. The Cambridge Health Alliance, whose network includes Whidden Hospital in Everett, will offer free blood screenings and wellness checks. Exercise instructors from the center will discuss the benefits of staying fit and describe what their classes have to offer. The free event is open to all. For more information, contact Dale Palma, director of the Council on Aging, at 617-394-2323, or Ida Reppucci at 617-394-2260.
