New committee focuses on city economics

Malden has created a new advisory committee to steer economic development in the city. The 12-member committee, led by Deborah Burke of the Malden Redevelopment Authority, is charged with creating a plan to bring in new jobs and enhance the city’s commercial districts. There are six open spots on the committee for Malden residents. To apply, e-mail Kevin Duffy, Malden’s business development officer, at kduffy@cityofmalden.org.
