Zora Warren has been elected to the North Andover School Committee. Warren, a former teacher who holds a master’s degree in education from Harvard University, will fill the seat vacated by Christine Allen, who decided not to run for reelection. Warren captured 1,166 votes in the March 26 town election, beating challenger Mark Mezzina, who received 526 votes. The School Committee race was the only contested race in this year’s town election. Incumbents Rosemary Connelly Smedile of the Board of Selectmen and Mary Beth Soucy of the North Andover Housing Authority were reelected to their respective posts. Roughly 9 percent of the town’s 19,177 registered voters went to the polls. In all, 1,711 voters cast ballots.
