The Boxford Board of Selectmen was scheduled to sign the warrant for annual Town Meeting at its meeting last Monday. The 32-article warrant includes an article that seeks a Proposition 2½ debt exclusion to repair the floor drains in two fire stations, a project that is expected to cost $183,500. Other articles include two proposals seeking money for design of a new library building, one for $395,000 and another for $350,000. In addition, there are articles to buy the 46-acre Nason Property for $950,000, add a local fine of up to $300 to the state fine of $100 for public smoking of marijuana, and place a one-year moratorium on developing zoning to comply with medical marijuana laws. The annual Town Meeting is scheduled for May 14-15 at Masconomet Regional High School.
