The city’s engineering company, Weston & Sampson, recently began the design phase for new underground water mains along 11 streets. The work is set to begin this summer. Representatives from Weston & Sampson recently met with Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr. and Department of Planning and Development staff to discuss the project. The streets involved are Bennett Street, Moody Avenue, Harvard Street, Magnolia Court, Rock Valley Avenue, Hancock Terrace, Fremont Avenue, Lincoln Street, Rich Street, Abbott Avenue, and Orange Court. Funding for the project was included in the city’s fiscal 2013 capital improvement plan.
