The Department of Public Works has relocated water and sewer billing and metering functions from City Hall to its operations center at 72 Tremont St. The move is part of a plan to restructure the public works department to make it more customer-friendly. Most public works functions now are housed at the operations center, which is open weekdays, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Only engineering remains at City Hall.
