Bicycle rodeo teaches safety

The Police Department and Tewksbury Rail Trails are teaming up to hold a bicycle rodeo Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tewksbury Walmart, 333 Main St. The event, free and open to the public, will provide young people with tips on the basics of safe bike riding. Members of the emergency department at Lowell General Hospital will be on hand to educate children and adults about the need for head protection. For more information about the event, contact Tewksbury police officer Jennie Welch at 978-851-7373, ext. 230.
