Electronics collection slated for May 4

The city will hold an Electronics Collection Day on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at Beverly High School, 100 Sohier Road. There will be no fee to discard desktop computers, keyboards, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, VCRs, CD or DVD players, radios, electronic parts, small appliances, microwaves, lamps, telephones, or answering machines. Fees include $3 for each computer monitor or laptop computer; $5 for each air conditioner, refrigerator, dehumidifier, or freezer; $15 for a plastic-cover TV under 27”; $20 for a console TV or any TV over 27”. Hazardous waste, gas-powered machines, and batteries will not be accepted. Proceeds will benefit the Beverly Football Team and the Beverly Solid Waste Management Committee Education Fund.
