Marblehead’s new Teen Center opened last week at the Marblehead Community Center, at 10 Humphrey St. The center is run by the nonprofit Marblehead for Teens. It will be open to all teens on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 2:30 and 5:30. In addition, it will also hold events on two Friday evenings a month. The next Friday events will be on May 10 and May 24, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Executive director Molly Williams said the center has been outfitted with a Ping-Pong table, a large flat-screen television, Wi-Fi, a café, and couches. “It will be a place where kids can go if they’re not playing a sport or if they don’t have any other place to go,” said Williams. The center’s website is www.marbleheadforteens.org. For more information, call 978-998-0285.
