Rail trail celebrates bench installation

The Danvers Rail Trail Committee recently held a dedication ceremony to celebrate the installation of three new benches along the rail trail. The benches, made of a recycled material that resembles wood, were donated by Brooksby Village, a retirement community. One is at the pedestrian entrance from Brooksby Village to the trail. A second is at the Prince Street intersection with the trail. The third is at Tapley Park on Pine Street. Christina Liotti, a Danvers Girl Scout, installed the benches with the assistance of other volunteers as her Gold Award scout project. The rail trail is a 4.3-mile recreational pathway that runs from the Wenham line to the Peabody line.
