Through May 31, shoppers at Burlington Mall can drop off donations for One Fund Boston at the Simon Guest Services area on level one. The fund was established by Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino to support those most affected by the April 15 Boston Marathon explosions. Simon Property Group — which owns Burlington Mall — recently announced that it is accepting donations to the fund at all of its New England malls, as well as at its Premium Outlet centers. Simon also made a $100,000 contribution to the fund. Meanwhile, members of the Burlington clergy held an “Interfaith Gathering of Memory, Unity, and Hope” on the evening of April 27 on the town common. About 100 people turned out for the event, according to Rabbi Susan Abramson of Temple Shalom Emeth, one of the organizers. Attendees signed get well and condolence cards for victims of the Marathon bombings, and thank you cards to the public safety and medical personnel, and others who helped the victims. Donations were also collected for One Fund Boston.
