Children in preschool to eighth grade are invited to register to take part in the Reading PMC Kids Ride on June 23 at Wood End Elementary School, 85 Sunset Rock Lane. The ride, which will take place rain or shine, will benefit the Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The event also will feature a raffle, silent auction, a disc jockey, and children’s games and activities. The registration fee is $15, and the mandatory fund-raising minimum is $25. During the past two years, the PMC Reading Kids Ride has attracted nearly 300 riders and raised more than $25,000 for Dana-Farber. Adults and youths 14 years or older are welcome to register as volunteers. Helpers will be needed for everything from face painting to refreshments and route safety. For more information or to register as a rider or volunteer, visit www.kids.pmc.org/reading.aspx .
