Society seeks donations to honor Minutemen

The Tewksbury Historical Society is seeking donations for a planned Line-of-March Memorial Project to honor town residents who took part in the first day of the Revolutionary War. From there, they joined other Minutemen in the running battle with British regulars returning to Boston after the battles of Concord and Lexington, along what is known as the Battle Road. The society would like to erect a granite marker on the town common dedicated to the local Minutemen, and a series of nine granite posts with engraved plaques along the route in town that Tewksbury soldiers followed that day.
